Treasures of the Darkness

  • Isaiah 45:3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
  • I Peter 4:12-13 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

The Lord has promised us treasure of the darkness! Did you know that there are treasures in the darkness? It has always been my understanding to do my best to stay away from darkness. Satan has always tried to duplicate what God has done. God said that He would be as a young lion of Judah and Satan wants to portray himself… as a roaring lion. Satan loves to do his work in the dark because God often does His best work… in the dark! Praise God!

Listen, friend… listen Saint of God… when God gets ready to bless somebody… so often, the blessings come from areas that surprise us… most of our miracles come from areas that we did not expect… His blessings can come from friends, family, or from our foes. God’s blessings can come from spectators and even intimidators. God has given us a promise and His promises are always true.

Jesus taught us that we must work in the day because when the night cometh no man can work…

  • John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

Jesus said man cannot work in the dark… He never said that He cannot work!!! I have found… according to the scriptures… God does His best work in the dark! I want you to know that when God gets ready to work, darkness, adversity, and complications are never a problem.

What is darkness? Science teaches us that darkness is not a thing… it is the absence of something (light). So when you find yourself in darkness, you are experiencing the absence of something that brings light. When God wants to put you in the light… He prepares you in the dark!

  1. Like an old camera, what was revealed in the light… was developed in the dark
  2. If the negative was exposed to light before it was developed… it would be destroyed!

God has put you in the dark so you can be developed. So, be careful how you pray. Don’t demand God to put you in the light before you are developed or it will destroy who you really are!

When God moved in darkness… it had no choice but to disappear

  • John 1:4-5 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

The light shineth in darkness and the darkness has no power, authority, or defense. Darkness cannot stop the move of God in our lives. Jesus Christ is the Light of the world and when He is revealed… darkness will cease to exist. Tell that demonic spirit that is tormenting you, that is trying to intimidate you… that when God gets ready…what appears to be darkness will be no more!

I plead with you… if God decides to put you in the dark… do not throw in the towel, do not quit, do not run away, do not become bitter or angry, do not allow the darkness to cause you to doubt… just let God be God! God will give you treasures out of your darkness and riches from secret places! You will experience the “wow factor”! “Wow… I didn’t know that was in me. I thought I was a failure, a reject, the black sheep of my family… but God put me in the dark and pulled out of me; quality, character, and strength that I never thought I had!

  • Psalm 30:5 weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning

I know that you are in the dark… I know that are weeping… but joy is coming in the morning!! Thank you, Lord!
